About

I am a University of Nebraska at Omaha college graduate. I got my bachelor's in studio art with a concentration in two-dimensional art. I studied graphic design for three years at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln before making a change to studio arts.

I was born in and currently reside in Omaha, Nebraska. I became interested in art at a young age, primarily because of my father. He always challenged me to come up with new ideas and taught me some of the skills he learned. I continue to be inspired by his willingness to give up his own art degree to help raise a family at a young age. I see myself in him, which pushed me to get my own art degree and use the skills he taught me to succeed in my career.

I enjoy creating my drawings in my own space while being accompanied by a movie or music. I really enjoy and draw a lot of interest from my music playlist, “Oldies but Goodies”, which includes music I grew up with. I enjoy working with various mediums, but I specialize in graphite and ink. I am currently working on various graphite pieces that follow after my most recent series "Music to Paper" which draws a connection between my love for old songs, archived photography, and animal symbolism.
